The Disadvantages of the "Quick Weight Loss Diets" Trend

Quite often, a lot of overweight people who decide to embark on a weight loss program or diet spend a lot on smaller size dresses to serve as a source of motivation at the beginning only to end up feeling guilty, angry and frustrated once they fail to achieve this goal a month later. You would probably also feel the same way if you were in their shoes when you discover that you have embraced a fad diet that promised you would lose weight in the shortest time possible only to discover you ended up adding more weight as a result.

weight loss motivation, weight loss diet programs, easy weight loss,

In reality, it does not work this way. Losing weight should be a gradual process because it took you quite some time to garner these unwanted and unhealthy weights in the first place. Thus, you would do far much better setting smaller, achievable targets for yourself when trying to lose weight. And if you must try to use the new smaller fitting clothes strategy as a source of motivation, go down a size at a time and don't try buying anything you will have to take out a second mortgage to pay for them.

You would end up taking fad diets or those that offer you to lose weight quickly if you continue to dwell and concentrate on losing weight fast which have been found to be mere claims by their promoters.

One obvious fact a lot of people just fail to realize is that there are no such things as quick weight loss diets and no nippy weight loss for people who want to be slimmer than what their bodies can provide. A lot of people just tend to opt for the quick fix approach to losing weight and failing to realize these kinds of weight loss methods, diets or systems are hardly effective at all.

The disadvantages these quick weight loss products trends bring to the American society by promoting these quick weight loss diets which in reality are fads are numerous.

A lot of overweight and obese people would finally dump all their attempts at losing weight rather prematurely believing since the fad diets never worked for them in the first place, no other weight loss plan, diet or program would work. The result would be more overweight and obese people frustrated and fed up with their plans and attempts to lose weight. This can also lead to depression in these people; affect their confidence, self esteem and personal relationship with people.

Rapid weight loss is not good thing in the first place. It's hardly advisable because it leaves the affected persons with lose skins and the only way to get rid of that would require surgery. Only sick or traumatized people lose weight shed weight overnight and that isn't healthy.

Most of these quick weight loss diets are not efficient and easily back fire because they don't employ the right principles and attitudes in losing weight. Losing weight is and should be a gradual process. That's the first principle every product should instill in the consumer so they can gradually see out the process. The process of piling and accumulating the unhealthy fats and unwanted weights in the first place was not a spontaneous or overnight event so losing the weight takes time too.

And once these quick weight loss diets fail to work and they lost their desire to lose weight, they are prone to suffer from the health complications that are associated with being overweight and obese. These problems range from diabetes, hypertension to other heart related diseases.

For all the above reasons, these quick weight loss diets trends should be discouraged and tackled. I would also like to suggest that the FDA clampdown on the activities of the manufacturers of these fad diets and products. They should be prosecuted for misleading the general American public, a larger percentage who remain obese and overweight despite the constant efforts they put in to achieve weight loss.
